Thousands of individually painted fragments come together to form the recognizable portrait. Viewed from a distance, the image appears clear and powerful; up close, the face dissolves into a complex structure of individual marks, grids and pixel-like elements.

The use of black, white and grey creates depth within the fragmented structure, while the large-scale composition explores the relationship between identity and perception.
